About
The mindsets required by contemporary life leave human beings with very specific struggles. We hold spoken and unspoken narratives around self-optimization, productivity, and measurements of sufficiency. Sometimes these narratives are overt and sometimes they are as subtle as the air we breathe. This current of malformation produces anxiety and a type of fractured spirituality that prevents people from experiencing what God intended, but instead a life of dryness and exhaustion. The Participating in the Life of God cohort is designed to reinvigorate the vision of shalom– of life walked with God in the Garden in the coolness of the day. This involves showing up authentically in God’s presence and courageously responding to the ways love walks among us. Inspired by Paul Miller’s book Love Walked Among Us, we will discuss these ways of love and, with God, discern his invitations for how we as individuals and as a collective are invited to find our way in him and walk in love in the world.
