In this learning cohort you will be exposed to the work of amazing women from the Christian tradition you may not have encountered before. These women come from a variety of contexts and with diverse range of life experience-- single, married, academic, not formally educated, widowed, mothers, without children, from multiple times and ethnic backgrounds. Each of these women communicate profound truth with significant implications for the ways we understand God and how we are invited to live in the life of God with our own lives. We will cover material focusing on the existential reality of Trinitarian participation from St. Teresa of Avila, Julian of Norwich, Adrienne Von Spyer, Simone Weil, Catherine LaCugna, Sarah Coakley, and Cole Arthur Riley and provide personal reflective prompts that will challenge and encourage you to open to new personal possibilities, inspired by these women.
Most distinctive of this learning community will be the uniquely feminine model where content is not to be mastered as much to be method of nurturing something that is growing in you. We, as a community will help one another harvest what is growing through communal insights and reflection.
