About

Julie Barrios and Dr. Daniel A Siedell will be using curated works from Anselm Kiefer as well as liturgical symbols from Ash Wednesday to have participants explore themes of limitation, materiality, mortality and humility.

There will be multiple prompts for creative engagement, reflection, and discussion. You may engage with the creative expression of your choice: visual art, music, writing, or any other practice you’d like to utilize to engage these themes.

It will be an exciting and contemplative adventure of the soul as we discover new insights and invitations. Some scholarship funds are available.

The cost of this event is $85 per person.

Julie Barrios is the founder of Nuos Formation.  She is a spiritual director and trainer and supervisor of spiritual directors, as well as a painter with focus on the encaustic.

Daniel A. Siedell is a an art historian and curator as well as a theologian. He is author of God in the Gallery and Who's Afraid of Modern Art?
