The Camino de Santiago is a medieval pilgrimage that has been walked by thousands of pilgrims in order to view the remains of James the Apostle. While modern pilgrims will have a different experience than those who walked hundreds of years ago, they still find this route to be a special experience in which to simplify their lives, notice the presence of God, and depend on others and God to meet their most basic needs.

Join Nuos Formation for a guided pilgrimage in Spain. This 10-day experience will have participants walk the final days of the pilgrimage, ending in Santiago de Compostela. Pilgrims will receive training on how to prepare, group processing times throughout the Camino, and support for reentry following the walk.

When and Where:

Pilgrims will meet on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at a hotel in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, in the afternoon on local time. Pilgrims should fly from North America to Europe no later than Tuesday, August 1 to allow ample time to make the ground journey to Santiago. Pilgrims will likely fly into nearby larger cities, such as Madrid, or Santiago. Pilgrimage leaders are willing to discuss ways to get to the starting location in more detail. We will share travel details of the group in advance, and discuss arrival options during pre-pilgrimage virtual meetings.

The pilgrimage will end on the early afternoon of August 12, 2023 in Santiago de Compostela.

The trip is $2,400, which includes all training sessions with Jen, transportation from Santiago to our trip starting point (Sarria), hotels for each night (shared with another group member), breakfast and lunch, insurance (see FAQ page for details on what’s included in the coverage), spiritual direction during the trip, and bag transport. Pilgrims must book their own airfare and make their way to Santiago de Compostela.

A 25% deposit of $600, signed waiver, and application are due January 31, 2023. Deposits can be made below. The remaining $1,800 is due by June 30, 2023.

Please note, a minimum of 8 participants are needed in order for this experience to take place. If 8 participants have not signed up by January 31, the trip will be cancelled and all deposits will be fully refunded.
