Lent has a few significant themes associated with the season; however, it is the image of the wilderness that is most commonly associated with this lead up to Easter. Rather than focusing on what to give up or fast from, this retreat is a time in which to create space for God. You will be invited to explore Jesus' own response to 40 days set apart in the wilderness and discover what invitations he may have for you as your enter your own 40 day season of Lent.

The first part of the retreat experience will include some brief thoughts on Lent and offer space for participants to prayerfully reflect on their own experiences of fasting, listening, and slowing down, and discern how to enter more deeply into the wilderness that is Lent. The second meeting will give participants a chance to reflect on their experience of Lent so far and process in a group setting what they've discovered and any shifts they may make with their practice of Lent.

The retreat will take place online via Zoom

Tuesday, February 21 from7-9pm PT and Tuesday, March 21, from 7-9pm PT.

The cost is $125 per person.

The retreat will be led by Jen Manglos. As a spiritual director, pastor, and writer, Jen  delights in helping others discover their own belovedness in God. Embodiment, hospitality, and storytelling characterize her approach to spiritual direction, as well as pilgrimage, having completed the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. She has been offering spiritual direction for over 12 years and holds an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from the Institute for Spiritual Formation at Talbot School of Theology. Please email jenmanglos@gmail.com with questions.
